Message from the Chairperson
Hachinohe Heiwa Hospital has evolved into the Heiseikai Group, a comprehensive network of multiple social welfare facilities capable of supporting patients and users in various situations. In November 2017, we proudly celebrated our 30th anniversary.
Looking back to our founding in November 1987, we began as a surgical hospital centered on Nephrology/Urology and Orthopedics. As acute care medicine advanced, we recognized the need to protect our patients’ post-discharge recovery and provide peace of mind to their families. To this end, we established an integrated Long-Term Care Health Facility (Roken), followed by social welfare facilities such as Care Houses and Group Homes. Over the years, we have grown by fostering a seamless collaboration between medical care and social welfare.
The past 30 years have been a journey of “peaks and valleys,” marked by the constant waves of medical reform. However, thanks to the warm support of the local community, our staff has been able to work as one, dedicating ourselves entirely to the path of healthcare and welfare. I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to the local acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and elder care facilities for their guidance and partnership.
With Anesthesiology as our foundation, Hachinohe Heiwa Hospital provides world-class medical care in the fields of Nephrology/Urology, Digestive Surgery, Orthopedics, and Ophthalmology. Furthermore, we have built a robust medical system through close collaboration between Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine.
As we mark this 30-year milestone, we remain committed to further enhancing our services and strengthening our organization. We will continue to strive every day to provide the local community with medical care they can trust.

Message from the Director
I am Kazuaki Fujii, and I assumed the position of Director in October 2025.
I am originally from Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture. I enrolled in the Hirosaki University School of Medicine, and after graduation, I joined the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Hirosaki University, where I trained at various hospitals throughout Aomori Prefecture over the course of 25 years. As I came to specialize in hip joint surgery within the field of orthopedics, I found myself performing many surgeries for patients in the Hachinohe area. This led me to want to continue my work based in Hachinohe, and in April 2004, I began working at Heiwa Hospital. Through the many experiences I have had here, this hospital has been the place that has helped me grow the most.
As you may be aware, the current healthcare landscape is facing extremely challenging times. Improving the quality of medical care and maintaining stable operations are absolutely essential. What I value most about this hospital is that every member of our staff is cooperative, and we are fortunate to have many outstanding professionals. I am committed to providing even better medical care than before, and as a hospital deeply rooted in this community, it is now my turn to help Heiwa Hospital grow even further.
I still have much to learn, but I look forward to working with all of you. Thank you for your support.

Director, Hachinohe Heiwa Hospital
